Mindful Eating Workshop

Wednesday March 4  The Green Eatery  7pm - 9pm

Do you ever wonder why when you are eating all the "right" things, you still aren't reaching your health, wellness and weight goals? Many of us don't take the time to really pause and be with our food. We eat unconsciously, not tasting the food we're eating, or noticing our thoughts, feelings, and sensations. Some of eat as a way of dealing with stress and emotion, and then feel guilty for over-eating or eating when we didn't need to. In this complimentary workshop, I will share ways that you can bring greater awareness to your automatic eating habits. I will share how you can gain control over common pitfalls that sabotage your efforts at reaching and maintaining your ideal weight or health goals. Eating is not just about what we eat, it is about how we eat as well. Space is limited, so please make sure to rsvp to secure your spot.

What is a Seedy Saturday? It’s a remarkable phenomenon which has sprung up across Canada under the general themes of encouraging the use of naturally pollinated and heritage seeds, a local seed exchange, and educating everyone about seed saving and environmentally responsible gardening practices. Bring seeds for the seed swap, if you’ve saved some, but you don’t have to bring seeds to attend. If you don’t have any to swap there will be an opportunity to purchase some and there will be lots to see and do.
