Canadian Federation of University Women's 45th Annual Used Book Sale at Milton Mall! Thousands of books, great prices! Proceeds to scholarships for Milton & District girls and women.

 

Bowl for Kids' Sake

Come out to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Halton's mentoring program for children and youth.
Register your team and start collecting pledges! Each bowler will receive hotdog, pop, and timbits!

 

Rock the W.A.V.E Benefit Concert

April 7, 2018  Boston Manor  8pm - 11:45pm

Rock the W.A.V.E was formed to unite the world against violence everywhere through a fun night of great music and people from all walks of life gathering under one roof.

Rock the W.A.V.E is thrilled to announce that the founders of the legendary 80’s band and Burlington natives, Gordon Deppe & Sandy Horne will be headlining at this year’s benefit concert with an acoustic duo in support of the Halton Women’s Place. As residents of the Burlington community Deppe & Horne felt that this was an important cause to support and are looking forward to doing their part to raise awareness and singing at the event.

In addition to Gord & Sandy’s Acoustic Duo, the line up also includes Jon Corbin, a Canadian hip hop & spoken word artist as the Emcee, Singer & Songwriter Krista
Blondin, as well as an up and coming band The Great American Novel. There will also be many great items to bid on in the silent auction as well, and other surprises! Limited tickets will also be available at select vendors for the price of $40 each. This event is a licensed event so attendees must be the age of majority.

Lego Club - Mystery

April 15, 2018  Ireland House Museum  1:30pm - 3:30pm

Calling all sleuths! An artifact has gone missing from the museum, and we need your help to find it! We will follow evidence left behind by the thief to discover their identity, and recover our stolen artifact. We’ll work on our code cracking skills, and use Lego to help us overcome obstacles that we encounter on our adventure.
Lego Club is a supervised drop-off program which takes place one Sunday per month throughout the school year. Each month the Lego Club activities are guided by a different theme, and incorporate Lego building, games, and crafts.

 

Sip & Shop Pop-Up Market

April 20, 2018  Country Heritage Park  6pm - 11pm

Rotary Club of Milton's 5th annual Denim and Diamonds

April 21, 2018  Country Heritage Park  6:30pm - 11:30pm

Come join the fun on April 21 2018 for the Rotary Club of Milton’s 5th annual Denim and Diamonds Gala. Dust off your hat, pull on your favourite jeans and prepare for an evening of great food and entertainment! Dance to live music by Milton’s own Groovy Brothers band, and join in the line dancing instruction with Tammy Wyatt. Get your picture taken at the photo booth. There will be live and silent auctions. Net proceeds raised will go to the Milton District Hospital Foundation for the Pediatric Family Lounge.

Grand Opening! The Free Book Nook

For those wondering what a Free Book Nook is - it's a mini Library, open to the public, year round, where you can drop off books, and pick up new books to enjoy, for FREE!
The Free Book Nook will have a whole shelf dedicated to adult reading/novels, and 3 shelves dedicated to children's books of all ages! (Brand New Usborne Books available in there weekly! FRENCH AND ENGLISH!)

We've got the Honourable Mayor Krantz joining us to cut the ribbon. We'll have Sweeter By The Dozen here with cupcakes/cookies, Facepainting for the children, and of course, lots and lots of amazing children's books to buy and enjoy. Dawn Till Dusk Enchanted Princess Parties will be making a very special appearance with a very special princess too! Lots of Giveaways to win too!
